HYMN SCORE EDITIONS

• Just Like Selma Music Score - Original (as recorded by Zacardi Cortez, Beverly Crawford and the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church Mass Choir)
• Just Like Selma Music Score - Hampton Edition (as introduced at the 2026 Hampton University Ministers Conference)
• Just Like Selma - Acoustic Remix (an adaptation of the original hymn for solo or unison voices with guitar accompaniment)

VIDEO ASSETS

• Just Like Selma Music Video (Purchase a copy of the award-winning music video and, with it, a sync license to screen it for non-commercial events.)
• Just Like Selma Video Reel (An adapted version of the original music video with additional footage that will complement your presentation of the hymn)

• Just Like Selma Vocal Stem Track for Large Choir (to enhance live presentation of original song version)

• Please notify NEWorks of your chosen date via the follow-up form or email (new@neworks.us) so we can track and amplify your participation.

• Incorporate the hymn into your worship service or community event.

• When introducing the hymn, please credit the hymnwriter and mention this NEWorks Just Like Selma National Civic Engagement Campaign (sample wording provided).

• Be intentional about engaging congregants to sing along

• Please ensure that your organization’s video team captures the hymn presentation (if your service/event is recorded or streamed).

• Send NEWorks a link to your presentation once its captured. We may amplify it by featuring it on this website or on our social media platforms.

• NOTE ALSO: By registering, you grant NEWorks permission to extract and post the video segment of your organization’s hymn presentation (with proper credit) to further amplify the impact of this project.

• Have your media team release the video of the hymn presentation (in whole or in part), using the hashtags: #Voting Rights #JustLikeSelma #NEWorks

A: No. You can select any day that works best for your church. Just let NEWorks know your chosen date.  

A: That’s fine! The hymn may be presented by a soloist, ensemble, praise team, or congregation—whatever best fits your ministry setting.

In some settings, the best option may be to feature the music video in worship and marry that presentation with liturgical dance or drama.

In addition, various tracks are available for purchase to enhance your presentation of the hymn.

A: Yes, you are encouraged to adapt the hymn in a way that will best impact your community. 

A: No. NEWorks may use only the hymn portion of your service video for distribution and promotional purposes, giving proper credit to your church.
